Iftikhar Thakur Talks About Jealousy, Health Issues, Life Struggles & Emotional Journey in a Recent Podcast
During the discussion, he spoke openly about how negative emotions can shape not only a person’s mindset but also their health, relationships, and overall quality of life. While many people link diseases like diabetes or high blood pressure with medical or genetic reasons, Thakur shared a more emotional and spiritual perspective.
Jealousy, Stress, and Health According to Iftikhar Thakur
One of the most talked-about parts of the podcast was his claim that jealousy and envy can play a major role in causing health problems. He suggested that conditions such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, and even diabetes may be strongly influenced by emotional stress created by negative thinking.
According to him, when people constantly compare themselves with others or feel envy toward someone’s success, beauty, or lifestyle, it creates inner tension. He explained that this emotional pressure does not remain limited to thoughts only, but eventually affects the body as well.
Thakur said that instead of feeling jealous of others, people should adopt a positive mindset. He encouraged listeners to pray for others’ success rather than wishing harm or failure upon them. In his view, when a person wishes good for others, it brings peace of mind and reduces mental stress.
He also highlighted a spiritual angle, saying that people should believe in divine blessings and understand that everyone’s success is already written in their own journey of life.
Message of Positivity and Helping Others
Beyond health, Iftikhar Thakur emphasized the importance of kindness, support, and unity among people. He said that life is short and unpredictable, and instead of competing in a negative way, people should help and uplift one another.
He encouraged audiences to become more supportive in daily life, whether in family matters, friendships, or professional environments. According to him, when people support each other instead of competing with jealousy, society becomes healthier and more peaceful.
He also reflected on the idea that life does not end with material success. In his words, real peace comes from good intentions, helping others, and living a meaningful life.
Emotional Memories of His Parents
During the podcast, the conversation became deeply emotional when Thakur spoke about his late parents. He described them as the most important people in his life and shared how much he still misses them every day.
He recalled moments from his personal life, saying that his parents sacrificed a lot for their children and worked tirelessly to raise them. He remembered how they would stay awake late at night and continue working for the sake of their family’s future.
With visible emotion, he shared how difficult it is for him to accept their absence. He mentioned that even small things, like an empty chair in his office, remind him of his mother. He expressed that he wishes he could sit with her again, hug her, and feel her presence one more time.
He also spoke about his father, saying that if he were still alive, he would have proudly taken photographs with him and framed them as memories.
Despite the pain of loss, Thakur believes that the sacrifices made by parents always bring blessings in life. He credited his success and stability to the struggles and prayers of his family.
Family Life and Personal Reflections
Iftikhar Thakur also spoke briefly about his current family life. He is married and has children, including three daughters and one son. He said that his family is a source of strength for him and keeps him grounded despite his busy professional life.
He believes that family responsibilities are both a challenge and a blessing. According to him, one sacrifice made in life often brings multiple rewards in return, especially when it is done for loved ones.
Struggles from Childhood and Early Life Journey
The comedian also opened up about his difficult early life. He shared that he grew up in a large family of nine members and had to start working at a young age to support them financially.
To help his family survive, he worked multiple jobs including electrician work, carpentry, and painting while continuing his studies. These early struggles shaped his personality and taught him the value of hard work and persistence.
Later in life, he joined government services and worked with organizations such as the Pakistan Coast Guard and Islamabad police. However, after 13 years in service, he made a life-changing decision to leave his job.
He explained that although he worked hard to make his mother proud, he eventually realized that his demanding job was keeping him away from her. This emotional realization pushed him to rethink his priorities in life.
Journey into Comedy and Entertainment Industry
After leaving his government job, Iftikhar Thakur entered the world of theater and comedy. His entry into the entertainment industry happened almost by chance through a friend from Faisalabad.
At first, he thought his friend was behaving strangely because he used to walk alone and talk to himself. Later, he discovered that his friend was actually practicing acting and rehearsing scripts.
Curious about the process, Thakur visited a theater and gradually started participating in creative discussions. He contributed ideas, including introducing humorous characters that could attract more audience engagement.
Soon, he realized that people enjoyed his presence and ideas. He remembered that audiences would clap when he entered, which gave him confidence and made him realize that comedy was his true passion.
From that point onward, he continued to develop his skills and eventually became one of the most recognized comedians in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
